Antistatic Agent is the additives to reduce or eliminate the electrostatic effect formed on the surface of products, added to the plastic or treated on to the surface of the plastic products. Electrostatic is one reason to reduce productivity or absorb dusts. It is a cause for fire or electric shock. To eliminate this measure static electricity is to attract water-soluble feature by treating the surface chemically. And another method is to craftr Hydrophilic Monomer. The last one is to add conductor like metal powders to materials.
The use of antistatic agents in the past was to prevent a static electrical spark against the risk of explosion from flammable gases. Or it was to avoid discomfort to move the layers to other place for other operation. One more, it was to block dust form be piled in hole of records. However, at the moment, it is used not to harm the appearance by dusts attached. |

Di-(2-ethylhexyl) adipate (DEHA=DOA) is a main material of soft PVC plasticizer used for food packs and medical equipment. In case of DOA, it is registered as an internal secretion blocking material and reported as a harmful material which can cause testicles contraction and hepatomegaly by Japanese MHLW of japan. It is regulated to be used in Korea, too.
